Louise M. Nichols, 95, died Tuesday, Feb. 27, at Acorn Glen, Princeton.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., she was a former member of St. Clements Episcopal Church in Wilkes-Barre, its choir and altar guild as well as a volunteer at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was the oldest active member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, and a member of the church choir for over 30 years. She was also active in Elijah’s Promise in New Brunswick.
Her husband, Thomas Nichols, is deceased. She is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Thomas J. and MaryLou Nichols of Harvey’s Lake, Pa., Wayne I. Nichols of Rome, Pa., and Robert A. and Carol Nichols of Kendall Park; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 5, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 142 Sand Hills Road, Monmouth Junction. Burial followed in Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, Pa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 142 Sand Hills road, Monmouth Junction, N.J. 08852. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of M.J.
