   A South 11th Avenue resident reported the theft of a Yamaha four-wheeler all-terrain vehicle, valued at $6,728, from his yard sometime between the first of the year and Feb. 26.

   Phillip Venis, 22, of Hillsborough, was charged with driving while intoxicated at 1:37 a.m. March 1 after police stopped him on North Main Street, near the Van Veighten Bridge.
   He was turned over to the Somerset County Jail and later released, after posting $500 bond.

   A car buyer at the Adesa Auto Auctions reported someone stole $965 in British currency from a fanny pack between 10 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. March 1.

   A North Fourth Avenue resident reported at about 8 p.m. March 1 someone broke into her home and took a diamond ring and $3,000 in cash.

   John Nicaretta, 27, of Bridgewater, was charged with DWI and disorderly conduct at 12:18 a.m. March 2 after police stopped the vehicle he as driving on North 13th Avenue near Bleecher Street.
   He was turned over to the Somerset County Jail, with bail set at $2,000.

   Ryan Van Riper, 31, of Beltan, S.C., was charged with DWI at 1:04 a.m. March 3 after police stopped the vehicle he was driving on North Main Street.
   He was released after the charge was filed.

   A South 11th Avenue resident reported someone scratched the driver’s side door and front fender, causing about $500 in damage, as the car was parked on the street during the night of March 2.

   Abraham Huaman,44, of Piscataway, was charged with DWI at 12:17 a.m. March 4 after police stopped the vehicle he was driving on Washington Avenue near South Second Avenue.
   He was released after the charge was filed.
