Musical program will honor Jewish heritage

“Generation to Generation: Musical Moments in Monmouth County Jewish History” will be featured at the Mon-mouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Drive, Manalapan, on April 22 at 2 p.m. in recognition of Jewish Heritage Week.

Jewish Heritage Week, April 22-28, was first proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1981 “in homage to the significant contributions made by the Jewish community to the United States.”

The program will feature Cantor David Amar of the Freehold Jewish Center, Cantor Marla Barugel of Congregation B’nai Israel, Rumson, Cantor Avima Rudavsky Darnov of the Marlboro Jewish Center, and the Solomon Schechter Academy Children’s Choir directed by Marilyn Cohen.

The program is free and open to the public.
