Local spring sports action available this week for fans

   While nearly every local high school sports team will start their regular season spring sports schedules in April, outdoor sports fans are, nonetheless, in luck. Because several spring sports teams have scrimmages on their schedules this week.
   Baseball lovers can watch the Northern Burlington County Regional High boys’ varsity baseball team take on Robbinsville this afternoon (Thursday). NBC is also scheduled to play games at Princeton on Saturday and Nottingham on Monday.
   The Bordentown Regional High boys’ varsity baseball team will have its third scrimmage of the season today at South Hunterdon. On Monday, Bordentown is scheduled to host Burlington City. The Florence Township Memorial High School boys varsity baseball team is scheduled at Steinert today.
   The always tough Northern Burlington County Regional High girls’ varsity softball team is scheduled at Steinert today. NBC is scheduled at Lenape on Saturday.
   The Bordentown Regional High girls’ varsity softball team, which is coming off of its best season ever, will have scrimmage at Haddonfield on Monday. Bordentown is scheduled to host Hightstown on Tuesday.
   The Florence Township Memorial High girls’ varsity softball squad, which is looking to win a Group I Central Jersey title this year, has a scheduled scrimmage at Montgomery tomorrow (Friday). It is scheduled to host Hammonton on Tuesday.
   The NBC boys’ varsity lacrosse team is scheduled to host Seneca today. It is scheduled at Vineland on Saturday and at Lenape on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the NBC girls’ varsity lacrosse team is scheduled at Seneca today. It is scheduled to host Ewing on Saturday. Then on Monday it is scheduled at Robbinsville.
   The Florence boys’ varsity tennis team is scheduled to host Haddonfield on Tuesday. The NBC boys’ varsity tennis squad is currently holding practices too.
   The Bordentown and NBC’s varsity golf teams have started their practices. All of the Bordentown, NBC and Florence boys and girls varsity track and field teams have begun their practicing too. It won’t be long now before everything is in full swing.
