EAST WINDSOR Douglas Eugene Miller, 78, died March 9 at the Cranbury Center-Genesis Elder Care facility in Monroe Township.
Born in Detroit, he was a resident of East Windsor for more than 40 years.
He was a former member of the East Windsor Township Planning Board and Republican Club.
Husband of the late Nora Recio Miller; he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Douglas F. Miller and Tari Pantaleo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne M. and Frank Ippolito and Patricia Miller-Pittman and Charles Pittman; one brother and sister-in-law, Gregory and Barbara Miller; one sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Donald Barnum; and grandchildren Elizabeth, Annie, Frank, Flannery and Gregory.
A funeral service was held at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, Cranbury, NJ. Private burial was to follow in Puerto Rico.

Elizabeth Peters
ABINGDON, Md. Elizabeth "Betty" "BJ" Peters, 82, formerly of East Windsor, died Feb. 21 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, Bel Air, Md.
Born in Hobart, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Hugh Lyon and Edna Kathryn King (nee Many).
She was a registered nurse and worked for the New Jersey Division of Youth & Family Services as an auditor for 25 years, retiring in 1998. After moving to Harford County, she volunteered at the Harford County Health Department since 2005.
She loved to knit, sew and take care of her grandchildren. She was a member of Christ Our King Presbyterian Church, Bel Air.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother John King. She is survived by her children, Barbara E. Polack and her husband, Samuel J., of Abingdon, Susan J. Peters of Rego Park, N.Y., Polly M. Fisher and her husband, David C., of Evergreen, Col. and "Scooter" Peters of Abingdon; grandchildren Andrew & Timothy Polack of Abingdon, Emily, Eric and Sarah Fisher of Evergreen, Col.; sister Helen Huettinger and her husband, Ed, of Oakland, Calif.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
