Hillsborough’s Class of ’76 reunion draws 76

Thirtieth anniversary draws classmates from across country

Seventy-six classmates and guests of the Hillsborough High School Class of 1976 gathered on Oct. 21 for their 30-year reunion at Soriano’s Caterers in Bridgewater.
In addition to the usual reminiscing, many talked about additions to the high school building, as well as the growth of the township.
Various class awards were presented. Carol Prymowicz Laine and Jim Laine (a 1975 graduate) were recognized as being the "Longest Married," at 26 years. Peggy Howell Campeas was the "Most Recently Married," on June 17, 2006.
The "Most Children" award was given to Bonnie Bell Creel, with five, and the winner of the "Most Recent Child" was presented to Stephen Kotz and his wife, Kimberly (another Hillsborough graduate) whose son, Steven was born in December 2005. Janice Stiscia was acknowledged as having the "Most Grandchildren," with four.
Buck Sixt was awarded with the "First Ticket Response" and Kevin Shields was recognized as "Ticket # 76."
Classmates attended from 10 different states across the country and Mark Dobak "Traveled the Greatest Distance" to attend the reunion, from Lakeland, Fla.
Winners of the Hillsborough High School Trivia Quiz were Bonnie Bell Creel, Bonnie Kuhmann Coddington, and JoAnne Valcheck Van Nuys — each received an award.
Members of the Reunion Committee include Nancy Babey Scherer, Karen Cartwright Perhach, Janice McDonough Mathewson, Carol Prymowicz Laine, and Mary Lynn Troisi Bezek.
Locating many of the graduates proved challenging and the Reunion Committee encourages classmates to contact any committee member with updated address information, or send e-mail to [email protected].
