Evelyn Conover Danser
PRINCETON Evelyn Conover Danser, 94, died at home March 16.
Born in Manalapan, she was a lifelong resident of Cranbury and Hightstown before moving to the Pavilions at Forrestal in 1999.Ms. Danser was educated in the Hightstown public school system and at the New Jersey College for Women (now Douglass College). Early in her childhood she discovered a talent for and love of needlecrafts that evolved into a passion for sewing. She also expressed her creativity through painting, primarily on ceramics.
Ms. Danser was married for 53 years to the late Oscar Young Danser. She was the daughter of the late Clifford L. Conover and the late Anita Holcombe Conover and stepdaughter of the late Anna Hancock Conover. She also was predeceased by brothers Tunis and Herbert Conover, sisters Esther Conover Robbins and Anna Mae Conover Williams and granddaughter Elizabeth Jamison Danser.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Robert Stahl of North Fort Myers, Fla.; daughter Connie Danser of Princeton; two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Linda Danser of Columbus and Gordon and Christine Danser of Pennington; nine grandchildren, Kimberly Cianfrano, Penelope Vann, Scott Stahl, Christopher Stahl, Douglas Struve, Jody Struve, Elise Pelcz, Andrea Danser and Catherine Danser; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Joan Conover of Hightstown; brother-in-law Henry Williams of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and friend and caregiver, Doris Conley.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the A.S. Cole Son & Company Funeral Home, 22 N. Main Street, Cranbury, with the Rev. Dr. Louis Mitchell presiding.
Per her wishes, Ms. Danser was cremated. Her ashes will be interred in Brainerd Cemetery following the service.

Lloyd E. Stout Sr.
EAST WINDSOR Lloyd E. Stout Sr. died March 14 at home. He was 82.
Born in Princeton, he was a 1942 graduate of Princeton High School.
He was employed as a divisional supervisor in the rubber industry for 32 years before moving to the chemical industry and then into the food industry, retiring in 1988 from Herr Foods.
While in the rubber field, he started a credit union, becoming its first president and later the treasurer. He also began a company softball team, which he managed, and a company bowling league.
He attended Rochester Institute before being drafted into the Army. He served three years in the European theater, where he served as a head of a medical supply and distribution department. He was discharged with the rank of technical sergeant.
A member of a family that dated its New Jersey roots back to being shipwrecked off Sandy Hook in 1640, his forebears settled in Hopewell. He was a direct descendent of John Hart, a signer of the Declaration of Independence and of Penelope Van Princess, the first Mrs. Stout.
He enjoyed Princeton University athletic events, and managing in the tiny leagues, Little League and the Lou Gehrig league. Additionally, he was fond of jazz and big band music and was known as an excellent dancer.
Son of the late Elmer and Estella Stout, he is survived by sons Gary L. Stout and Lloyd E. Stout II; daughters Debra Gruzlovick, Diane Diaz and Helen Conti; and grandchildren Myles A. Stout, Ryan J. Stout, Kyle Anna Stout, Nick Conti, Dawn Gruzlovick, John Pelehaty and Staci Stout.

Lorraine Betts
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP Lorraine Betts, 76, died March 16 at her home in Robbinsville.
Born in Hightstown, she was a lifelong resident of the Hightstown area.
She formerly worked at the rug mill in Hightstown and retired from Washington Township after 10 years.
Daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth Schermer; she is survived by daughter Debra Betts-Crawford of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Kim Betts of Oxford, N.Y. and Dean and Elle Betts of Jefferson City, Tenn.; and grandchildren Devin Crawford and Eric Betts.
The Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, Hightstown, handled arrangements. Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown.

Kathryn R. Mendelson
CRANBURY Kathryn R. Mendelson, 73, died Thursday at her home.
Born in Statesman, Ga., Ms. Mendelson was a resident of East Windsor and Cranbury for the past 37 years. She was a former member of Congregation Beth Chaim.
Grandmother of the late Christopher Mader and wife of the late Abraham S. Mendelson, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Cathy Mendelson of Shippensburg, Pa.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Ricky and John Schiel of Lawrenceville, Samantha and Phaon Payne of Millsboro, Del., Leslie Craven of West Windsor and Marcia and Tom Kayhart of Jamesburg; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services and burial will be held at 1 p.m. today at Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Iselin.
