MANVILLE John Drassler died March 21 at the Somerset Valley Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Bridgewater. He was 93.
Born in Browndale, Pa., he lived in Kearny before moving to Manville in 1956.
Mr. Drassler was employed as supervisor at the NJ Division of Motor Vehicles Inspection Station in Somerville, retiring in 1977. After retiring he had worked at the NJ Eastern Star Nursing Home located in Finderne section of Bridgewater in the maintenance department.
He was a member of the Phillipsburg Elks.
He was a communicant of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville where he volunteered for various activities.
A brother, Anthony; and a sister, Pauline are deceased.
Survivors include his wife, Mary (Nogoda) Drassler; one daughter, Jean Shamro; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted March 24 from Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a funeral liturgy at Christ the King Church. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
