Frances Novelli Morello

   TRENTON — Frances Novelli "Smokey" Morello, 80, died March 20 at Lakeworth Manor, Lakeworth, Fla.
   Born in Trenton, Ms. Morello was a lifelong area resident.
   She was retired from Congoleum. She was an avid card player and enjoyed frequenting Atlantic City.
   Daughter of the late Giovanni and Jennie Capodici Novelli, sister of the late Peter Novelli, sister-in-law of the late Joseph T. Leadem and Frances Novelli, former wife of the late Anthony A. "Pushy" Pulcinello and Louis A. Morello, she is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Jacqueline L. Leadem of Lawrenceville and Jean A. and Lyman E. Knowles of Yardville; one brother, Casper Novelli of Trenton; one sister-in-law, Angeline Novelli of Allentown; one daughter, Patricia Pulcinello of Lakeworth, Fla.; one son and daughter-in-law, Anthony L. and Kimberly A. Morello of Medford Lakes; five grandchildren, Anthony, Richard and Joel Infantine, Chase A. and Amanda J. Morello; one great-grandson, Jude Infantine; nieces and nephews, Angel O’Connor, Roseanne Carpenter, Jean Fink, Peter Novelli, JoAnn Palmucci, Jacqueline Brugno, John Leadem, Kim Gervasoni, John B. Knowles, David and Jeffrey Novelli; many great-nieces and great-nephews, and many lifelong dear friends.
   Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
   Arrangements are under the direction of The Mather-Hodge Funeral Home, 40 Vandeventer Ave., Princeton.

Richard Costello

   HAMILTON — Richard Costello, 81, also known as "Ace," died at his home in Hamilton on Saturday.
   Known for his good-humored friendliness as well as his signature crew cut, he was born in Jersey City and moved to Hamilton in 1939.
   Until last year, when he was diagnosed with ALS or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, he remained an avid golfer, working as a golf ranger at the Trenton Country Club until last fall.
   Mr. Costello was retired from Operating Engineers’ Local 825 and his work took him to Greenland and Vietnam as well as to construction jobs on many of Trenton’s downtown buildings. He attended Trenton Catholic and enjoyed attending monthly luncheons held by the school’s Class of 1944.
   During World War II he served in the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific and later became a member of VFW Post 491, the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Hamilton, the Lenoxville Social Club of Trenton and the Hamilton Elks BPOE 2262. Friends also knew him as a poker player who enjoyed weekly games.
   Son of the late Richard A. and Frances Maloney Costello, brother of the late Matthew, Margaret and Mary Costello and predeceased by his daughter Susan Ann Costello, Ace is survived by his wife Josephine Madola Costello; daughter Patricia Costello of Robbinsville; niece Eileen Armstrong of Overland Park, Kan.; and nephews Michael Costello of Monroe and Richard M. Costello of Wilmington, Del.
   Funeral services will be held 8:30 a.m. Thursday from the Kingston & Kemp Funeral Home, 260 Whitehorse Ave. in Hamilton followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Raphael-Holy Angels Church on Gropp Avenue.
   Burial will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Hamilton.
   In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to the ALS Association, 321 Norristown Road, Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002-2755.
