   A Royce Court resident reported someone broke into his house between 10:30 a.m. on March 1 and 12:55 a.m. on March 2, when no one was home, and took jewelry, electronic equipment, cash and other items with a total value of $21,614.
   Police said they noticed the front door damaged with multiple pry marks, and the residence had been ransacked. A sliding door was also forced open and left ajar.
   Items taken included several pieces of jewelry, two coats, $5,200 in cash, a $2,200 computer terminal/monitor, a piece of luggage worth $150, and a $322 Sony camcorder.

   Daniel S. Shields, 47, of Hillsborough, was charged with driving while intoxicated at 7:11 p.m. on March 5.
   Police said they stopped Mr. Shields in his white 2000 Chevy Blazer on Route 206, just south of Triangle Road, after noticing his vehicle drift over the fog line several times.
   Police said Mr. Shields failed sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol level of 0.21 percent when tested at the police station. A BAC of 0.08 percent or higher is classified under state law as driving while intoxicated.
   Mr. Shields was also charged with improper use of the center lane and failure to keep right.

   Juan Ramirez, 21, of Hillsborough, was charged with driving while intoxicated at 2:01 a.m. on March 12.
   Police said they stopped Mr. Ramirez in a red Mercury SUV after noticing the vehicle drift over the shoulder on Amwell Road.
   Mr. Ramirez failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody, police said. Mr. Ramirez tested with a blood alcohol content level of 0.13 percent, police said.
   He was also charged with failure to maintain a lane, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, having an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, driving unlicensed and careless driving, police said.
   A passenger in the vehicle, Juan Chaluba, 28, of Hillsborough, was charged with having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, police said.

   Nicole P. Gilmore, 24, of Hillsborough, was charged with possession of marijuana at 11:24 a.m. on March 19.
   Police said they stopped Ms. Gilmore on South Branch Road at Beekman Lane after a random license plate check on her 2000 Acura revealed an active $110 traffic warrant out of Branchburg Township.
   At police headquarters, police found a ball of aluminum foil containing a greenish brown vegetative matter, which later tested positive for marijuana.
   Ms. Gilmore was additionally charged with possession of controlled drug substance (marijuana) under 50 grams in a motor vehicle and released with a court date of April 3, after posting $110 bail.

   Brian M. Thomaszfski, 18, of Hillsborough, was charged with possession of marijuana at 10:33 p.m. on March 19.
   Police said they approached Mr. Thomaszfski in his 2002 Toyota Corolla at Mayfair Court and noticed a marijuana cigarette rolled with cigar leaves lying on the floor of the passenger seat. A vehicle search also turned up a plastic bag containing a vegetative matter suspected to be marijuana.
   Police transported Mr. Thomaszfski to headquarters, where he was processed and released with a court date of April 3.

   Brett Garrett Campbell, 21, of Middlesex, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana at 2:36 a.m. on March 24.
   Police said they stopped Mr. Campbell in his 2001 silver Mazda at the intersection of Route 206 and Andria Drive after observing his vehicle cross the centerline.
   Police noticed the smell of marijuana in the vehicle and conducted a search of the vehicle. Police said they found a yellow plastic bag containing a greenish brown vegetative matter believed to be marijuana in the center console. Police said they also found a burnt marijuana cigarette rolled with cigar leaves underneath the driver’s seat.
   Police said Mr. Campbell was also charged with failure to keep right and possession of controlled drug substances in a motor vehicle.
