Free Motion Rehabilitation Cen-ter, New Friendship Road, Howell, has announced the grand opening of its newly expanded 3,800-square-foot physical therapy clinic. Founded in 2002 by husband and wife licensed physical therapists Michael Sheynin and Laura Partnoyute, Free Motion Rehabilitation Center currently employs five licensed physical therapists and two physical therapist assistants. The center offers orthopedic, neurological and sports rehabilitation in addition to strength and conditioning training for adults and children. They help provide relief to people suffering from chronic pain or various sports injuries and also provide post-accident and post-surgery rehabilitation.
Children can be seen for physical therapy to address gross motor delays, effects of brain injuries, sensory abnormalities, brachial plexus injuries, torticollis, scoliosis and other orthopedic and neurological conditions. In addition, Free Motion provides the Therasuit Therapy Program, a specialized program that treats children with motor-neurological disorders and neuromuscular disorders such as cerebral palsy.

Jody Donnelly, owner of the Goddard School in Howell, recently received special recognition at the company’s annual convention held at the Westin Rio Mar Beach resort in Puerto Rico. Goddard Systems President and Chief Executive Officer Philip Schu-macher said Donnelly was recognized for managing a wonderful facility and doing an outstanding job of maintaining the principles of the Goddard system. The Goddard School is a nationwide franchise of Goddard systems, headquartered in Pennsylvania.
Harshana Senanayake, chief information officer at Northfield Bank, has been named a senior vice president, according to John W. Alexander, chairman and chief executive officer. Senanayake, who was appointed chief information officer in 1998, has more than 15 years of experience with Northfield Bank. Senanayake resides in Howell with his wife and daughter. Northfield Bank was founded in 1887 and operates 19 full-service banking offices in Staten Island, N.Y., as well as in Linden, Rahway, Avenel, Edison, Milltown, East Brunswick and Monroe.
