When the votes were tallied after the polls closed Tuesday, the question of whether to approve Stockton’s proposed $592,275 school budget with a tax levy of $12,949 had received 61 "yes" votes and 61 "no" votes.
The proposed budget will now go to the Borough Council, which will have to hold a special meeting to consider whether to approve the budget as is or make cuts.
Incumbents Lisa Levine and Rick McDaniel, running unopposed for re-election to the school board, received 62 and 56 votes, respectively.
