A reading, discussion and book-signing will be held May 15 from 7-9 p.m. at Amalfi’s, 146 Lawrenceville-Pennington Road.
The ticket price is $30.00 and tickets are on sale at the Pennington Library.
It will feature an evening with New York Times best-selling author Brian Haig, who will read from and discuss "Man in the Middle," the latest novel in his Sean Drummond series.
In "Man in The Middle," newly promoted Army lieutenant colonel, JAG lawyer Sean Drummond’s latest assignment starts off simply enough: find out if the death of one of D.C.’s most influential defense officials was murder or suicide. A seemingly simple crime scene is the stepping-off point for Mr. Haig’s examination into the reasons why the United States is at war, with whom, and at whose orders.
Mr. Haig is a local resident and former special assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He has written for a wide range of publications ranging from the New York Times to USA Today to Details. He is the son of Alexander Haig, the first Secretary of State under Ronald Reagan and a former four-star general in the U.S. Army. From 1974 until 1979, Gen. Haig was Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), hence the ex-officio commander of the NATO forces.
