Najeeb A. Green-Lewis, 12, died Friday, May 4, at Cooper Medical Center, Camden as a result of injuries he sustained when struck by an automobile.
Born in Trenton, he lived in Monmouth Junction before moving to Berlin, and was a student at Winslow Middle School in Atco. He was a member of Abundant Life Worship Church in New Brunswick.
Najeeb is survived by his parents, Antinique Lewis and Al Raheem Green; four brothers, Kyler, Jaiden and Zahie Cox and Malaki Bell; four sisters, Faaizah and Zione Green of Newark, and Omarianah and Kylis Bell of Battle Creek, Mich.; his maternal grandparents, Larry and Monica Durell of Berlin; his paternal grandparents, Anthony and Susan Lewis of Yorktown, Pa.; his paternal great-grandparents, Charles and Lorraine Holman of Newark; his maternal great-grandfather, Edward Smith Jr. of Battle Creek, Mich.; his maternal great-grandmother, Eleanor Smith of East Orange; his step-great-grandparents, Herman and Linda Fisher of Lindenwold; his godparents, Bishop Tino Smith of Indianapolis, Ind., Bridget Canalas of Detroit, and Angela Johnson of Plainsboro; a very special family friend who was like his great-grandmother, April Williams of Sicklerville; and a host of uncles, aunts, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11a.m. today (Thursday), May 10 at Light of the World Family Worship Church, 2400 S. Broad St., Hamilton. Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Entombment will be at Harleigh Cemetery Mausoleum, Camden. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service, Trenton.
