Clara Jenette Smith Sked, 84, a 36-year resident of Abington, Pa., who lived in Hopewell for the past three and a half years, died May 6.
Born in Trenton, she was a graduate of Hopewell Central High School, Class of 1941.
She was retired from Abington School District, where she was a dental assistant and health clerk. She was a volunteer at the Abbey Thrift Shop of Abington Memorial Hospital.
Preceded in death by her parents, Della Carrie Gordon Smith and George Smith, her husband Leroy K. Sked, and daughter-in-law Elizabeth A. Sked, she is survived by a son Kenneth C. Sked; grandchildren Carrie A. Coward and husband Charles D. Coward, Kenneth C. Sked Jr. and wife Elizabeth L. Sked and Kristy L. Jackson and husband Jason B. Jackson; six great-grandchildren, Alyssa, CJ, Emma, Noah, Charlotte, Mara; and friends John D. Jackson, Cody D. Jackson and Sharon K. Coward.
A life celebration will be held May 12 at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at Craft-Givnish of Abington, 1801 Old York Road, Abington, Pa.
Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Byberry and Philmont Avenue, Philadelphia, Pa.
