I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported the recent South Brunswick Family YMCA gala dinner and casino night. In years past, I was privileged to serve as the chair of the Y gala dinner and this year I was equally privileged to serve as the honoree. Special thanks t Y director, tom Libassi, Mary Powers, Maureen DeBlasio and all of the Y staff for their hard work in making the gala dinner such a successful event.
As always, there were numerous individuals and businesses that supported the Y in the ad book in addition to many generous donors throughout the community and in the central New Jersey area. I would also like to thank the South Brunswick Family YMCA board of directors for their hard work and support of the gala dinner.
In addition, special thanks to our host Pierre Hage Boutros for providing such a nice setting for our dinner. Although the checks are still coming in, the gala dinner, casino night, ad book and auction have netted in excess of $30,000 which helps support the South Brunswick Family YMCA and to help provide scholarships for those unable to afford a Y program.
It was truly a pleasure to be involved in such a wonderful evening and I thank all of those who came out to support the event and to support the Y. It is always nice to see our community come together to support a worthy cause.
