Ada Kammer

   Ada Kammer, 88, died Sunday, May 13, at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Metuchen before moving to Monroe.
   She worked as a fifth grade teacher at school No. 25 in Woodbridge for 25 years before retiring in 1980.
   She was a past president of the women’s organization at Temple Never Shalom, and a past fundraising chairman for the United Jewish Appeal. She was a political activist for the Democratic Party in Monroe Township. She volunteered at Princeton Medical Center, and was a treasurer with ORT in Clearbrook.
   Her husband, Nathan, and sister, Doris, are deceased. She is survived by two daughters, Paula and her husband, Tom Kole, of Princeton, and Linda Kammer and a domestic partner, Jorge Cardiellos, of Sparta; three grandsons, Todd and wife, Jennifer, Robert and wife, Lisa, and Jonathan and wife, Jennifer; and seven great-granddaughters, Amanda, Emily, Olivia, Samantha, Cassidy, Lauren and Julia.
   Graveside services were held Tuesday, May 15, at Beth Israel Memorial Park in Woodbridge. Arrangements were under the direction of the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. Contributions are requested to the Chabad House or the Institute for Spiritual Development, 15 Sparta Ave., Sparta, N.J.
