James Hughes died Friday, May 11, at his residence.
Born in Pittsburgh, he resided in Monroe since 1997.
He was a national operations manager for Makita and later was employed at Verizon.
He is survived by his wife, Francese Barrette Hughes; a son, Steve Hughes; and his granddaughter, Sydney Hughes.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, April 15, from Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Old Bridge.
Burial followed at Holy Cross Burial Park Cemetery, South Brunswick.
