   Ernesto Zumbado, 43, Hamilton Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated after police pulled him over for drifting over the center line on Hamilton Road at 2 a.m. May 28.
   Mr. Zumbado was taken into custody after he failed three different sobriety tests, including the heel-to-toe test and the one leg stand. At the police station, his blood alcohol level was found to be 0.15 percent, police said.
   Mr. Zumbado was released to the custody of his girlfriend. He has also been charged with failure to maintain a lane.

   A Child’s Place, a day-care facility on South Branch Road, was broken into sometime between 6 p.m. May 29 and 8:25 a.m. May 30, according to the police report.
   Entry was reportedly gained through an unlocked rear basement window in the utility room.
   The facility reported a $500 Sony digital camera, $132.10 in cash, $3,134.25 in checks and a Commerce money bag missing.

   Leah Buttacavoli, 22, Bree Court, and Jeremiah Wright, 27, of Virginia, were charged with third-degree possession of cocaine, third-degree possession of heroin, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia after police responded to a call from a third party that Ms. Buttacavoli was unconscious as a result of a heroin overdose at 9:03 p.m. Saturday.
   Mr. Wright admitted to police that he and Ms. Buttacavoli had been using heroin and crack cocaine on their road trip from Virginia to New Jersey to stay with a friend. According to police, he also admitted that he had hidden Ms. Buttacavoli’s purse because it contained additional narcotics.
   Mr. Wright and Ms. Buttacavoli, who was revived by medics, were treated at Somerset Medical Center, then taken to Somerset County Jail with their bail set at $10,000.

   James Patrick, 22, of Millstone, was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams after police observed the vehicle he was driving in with a broken front headlight at 12:49 a.m. May 30.
   Mr. Patrick was also issued summonses for possession of paraphernalia, maintenance of lamps and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle.

   An Auten Road resident reported her 1999 Honda Civic was broken into sometime between 9 p.m. May 29 and 9 a.m. May 30.
   The vehicle was not damaged, but the owner noted that the contents from the center console were scattered throughout the car and about $13 was missing.
   According to police, a black duffel bag with the logo for Troil Enterprises was left outside the driver side door, but it did not belong to the vehicle’s owner.

   A Bree Court resident reported his 2001 Mitsubishi Galant was broken into sometime between 6 p.m. May 29 and 3:45 a.m. May 30. There was no damage to the vehicle, but $10 was missing.

   A Wesley Road resident reported his 64-gallon garbage can, valued at $95, was taken sometime after 4 p.m. May 27.

   Anthony Rosa, 18, Amwell Road, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon after police stopped him for speeding on South Branch Road at 2:39 a.m. May 20.
   He was also charged with underage consumption of alcohol and received a summons for speeding.

   Kevin Nash, 25, Hillsborough; Shawn Purdy, 29, Phillipsburg; and Brion Volkheimer, 31, Phillipsburg, were issued summonses for possession of under 50 grams of marijuana after police noticed their 2001 Saturn drifting across lanes on Route 206 at 2:28 a.m. May 8.
   Robert Moran, 21, Stewartsville, the driver, was issued summonses for failure to maintain a lane and possession of CDS in a motor vehicle
   According to the police report, marijuana was found in the magazine holder of the front passenger seat, and cocaine and marijuana were found in the trunk of the car.

   A McMannus resident reported his two vehicles and garage were broken into sometime between 10 p.m. May 3 and 8 a.m. May 4.
   Entry was gained through an open garage door, where the vehicles were left overnight. The resident reported a Silver Dell Latitude 610 Lap Top in a black case, valued at $3,000, missing from one of the vehicles. He also reported that the glove compartment was open with papers scattered on the front seats in the other car.
   According to the police report, the resident also reported a $27 case of Corona Beer and a $20 case of Miller Light Beer missing from a refrigerator in the garage.

   Leticia Juarez, 27, Robin Road, was charged with shoplifting after she set off a theft alarm at Cost Cutters on Route 206 at 4:35 p.m. May 14.
   According to the police report, Ms. Juarez was found with a Wet ‘n’ Wild tinted moisturizer, worth about $4, in her possession when she tried to leave the establishment. When police arrived, she gave a false name and attempted to resist arrest.
   Ms. Juarez was also charged with obstruction and resisting arrest. She was released after posting $500 bail for shoplifting and $250 bail for resisting arrest, and was released.

   Andre Jackson, 30, Plainfield, was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana after police observed his 2001 Chevy Cavalier drifting across lanes on Auten Road at 3:17 a.m. May 27.
   According to the report, police also found an open bottle of brandy in the vehicle.
   The car’s driver, Carlton Rudolph Jr., 20, Plainfield, was issued summonses for possession and for failure to maintain a lane.
   Mr. Jackson was taken into custody on outstanding traffic warrants from Plainfield Municipal Court and Greenbrook Municipal Court. He was also issued a summons for having an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle.
   Mr. Jackson was brought to Somerset County Jail because he could not post bail or pay the warrants.

   Juventino Lopez, 47, Robin Road, was charged with disorderly conduct for yelling outside an apartment complex at 12:16 a.m. May 22.

   A Farm Road resident reported someone slashed a tire on his Toyota Camry, valued at $100, sometime between 9 a.m. May 13 and 6 a.m. May 14.

   Wesley Quesada-Castro, 19, Raritan, was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana after police noticed that the driver’s side taillight was out on the 1998 Hyundai in which he was a passenger at 10:29 p.m. May 13.
   According to police, they detected marijuana once they stopped the car and found a clear plastic bag of the drug inside Mr. Quesada-Castro’s sock.
   The car’s driver, Justin Speight, 18, Raritan, was issued two summonses for maintenance of lamps and failure to make repairs.

   A Gemini Drive resident reported damage to property he owns on Roycefield Road that occurred sometime between April 27 and April 29.
   The property was boarded up after a house fire, but the owner said he still uses the shed. According to the police report, the owner found the plywood boarding up his garage kicked down and the door to his shed open. He also found the rear side door of the residence lying on the ground instead of leaning against the building where he had left it.

   Three Bridgewater residents and one Hillsborough woman were charged in connection with a series of car burglaries that occurred in January and February in Hillsborough.
   Hillsborough resident Jacqueline Frana, 20, was charged with two counts of credit card fraud, using cards taken during the string of burglaries.
   Walter Hanna, 34, and Nicole Hewlett, 28, both of Bridgewater, were also charged with credit card fraud, with Mr. Hanna facing four counts and Ms. Hewlett facing six counts.
   Bridgewater resident David Zecca, 24, faces a total of 26 counts of credit card fraud, along with four counts of burglary and one count of theft.

   Two Hillsborough residents were charged with attempting to buy cocaine on May 19 following a four-month investigation.
   Bloomingdale Drive resident Deborah Washington, 51, and Crickhollow Court resident Carrie Carley, 24, were charged with attempting to possess and conspiring to possess drugs.
