HEALTH & MEDICINE
   Princeton prosthodontist Dr. Kenneth Kent was presented the first place award for Outstanding Clinical Poster Presentation at the 12th Biennial International Conference on Reconstructive Preprosthetic Surgery for his presentation "Robotic Animation of Facial Prostheses." Dr. Kent reviewed the advances in facial materials and robotic animation that will allow realistic movements of prosthetic structures to mimic the muscles of the face, enabling natural appearing animation of previously static facial prostheses. His goal is to create an artificial replacement of a missing part of the face that will function and appear natural.

   Dr. Richard Jeffery Scott of Monmouth County has been elected the 215th president of the Medical Society of New Jersey. Board certified in orthopedic surgery, he currently serves as the vice president of clinical effectiveness and medical affairs at Riverview Medical Center. Founded in 1766 and based in Lawrenceville, the Medical Society of New Jersey is the oldest professional society in the United States. Its mission is to promote the betterment of public health and the art of medicine.

   Consolidated Services Group, a property and casualty medical claims management firm based in Lansdale, Pa., has announced the promotion of Maria Longworth to vice president, medical case management services. In this newly created role, she will be responsible for first report of injury, telephonic case management, as well as field case management services for both workers’ compensation and automobile lines of business. Ms. Longworth will be based out of the Hamilton branch and will also maintain an office in Cherry Hill.
   Previous to her new appointment, Ms. Longworth served as assistant vice president, case management as well as many other management roles within the organization.
MARKETING
   The media and marketing organization Advertising Specialty Institute announced that Timothy M. Andrews, a resident of Princeton, has been promoted to president and chief executive officer. In addition to assuming this dual title, he has also been appointed to the board of directors of ASI Computer Systems Inc. Prior to this promotion he was president of ASI. He joined the company in 2003.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
   Mark Pollard, of Princeton, is one of 24 Merrill Lynch financial advisors honored on Barron’s 2007 list of the "Top 100 Financial Advisers." Merrill Lynch had more advisors recognized than any other financial advisory firm, with 24.
   Mr. Pollard has been with Merrill Lynch for 36 years, serving corporate and individual investors in concentrated stock management, asset management, estate planning and philanthropy. He is currently involved in the Henry H. Kessler Foundation board, the board of trustees of the University Health Care System of Princeton Foundation, the board of directors of the Princeton American Jewish Committee, and active with the United Jewish Federation of Princeton/Mercer/Bucks.
NONPROFIT
   Judy (Neus) Magee has been appointed to the newly created position of director of human resources for The Eden Family of Services. Eden is a Princeton-based not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide community-based supports to children and adults with autism. As the new director of human resources, Ms. Magee brings with her a legal background and nearly 10 years of experience working in the human resources field. She will oversee many aspects of employee relations including compensation, benefits, recruiting, investigations, training and policy and procedure development.
   Ms. Magee resides in Langhorne, Pa. with her husband and three children.
GOVERNMENT
   Plainsboro resident Dr. Ranjana G. Madhusudhan, a senior research economist for the state Division of Taxation, has been named assistant director of the division’s Office of Revenue and Economic Analysis. In her new position Dr. Madhusudhan will take on a more supervisory role, leading a group of tax and economic analysts as well as continuing to research national and state tax policy matters. She also will serve as an economic advisor to the state treasurer and Gov. Jon S. Corzine on economic and tax policy issues.
ARCHITECTURE
   Hillier Architecture recently hired several new staff members at its Princeton office. Included are: Ed Banta of Doylestown, Pa., as an architect in the education studio; Leslie Griffin of Lambertville as document manager for a Caribbean resort project; Jennifer Hyer of Perrineville as an interior designer in the corporate studio; Dr. Vinita Kapur of Princeton, AutoCAD designer; Jim Robbins of Monmouth Junction as a project architect on the Caribbean resort project; Sara Segal of Princeton as senior designer in the specialty projects group; and John vanMelle, also of Princeton, as project architect for the resort.
