Lambertville

   Javier Hernandez, 21, of Lambertville was charged with drunken driving and for outstanding warrants Friday.
   Police stopped Mr. Hernandez on Route 29 at 3 a.m. after he was observed driving erratically, police said.
   Mr. Hernandez allegedly was in possession of open containers of beer.
   He also had warrants issued by Lambertville for failure to appear on assault and traffic charges.
   He also was charged with refusal to submit to breath testing, being an unlicensed driver, reckless driving, possession of an open container, failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to maintain lane and maintenance of lamps.
   He was taken to the Hunterdon County Jail in lieu of $595 bail.
   Charles Cullen, 26, of Lambertville was charged with drunken driving Sunday.
   Police stopped Mr. Cullen on Route 165 at 2:50 a.m. because his vehicle was unregistered and had a broken taillight, police said.
   He also was charged with reckless driving, having an unregistered vehicle and maintenance of lamps.
   He was released without bail.
   Anthony Sharpe, 19, of Milford was arrested on an outstanding warrant June 12.
   Police stopped Mr. Sharpe on Lincoln Avenue after he was observed driving in a careless manner on Swan Street, police said.
   Mr. Sharpe had a warrant for failure to appear on traffic charges in East Amwell, police said.
   He was released on $81 bail.
   A two-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of routes 165 and 518 on June 14 at 1:12 p.m.
   Police said Robert Silvestri’s pickup truck had been hit broadside by a car operated by Sol Rosengarten, 90.
   Mr. Rosengarten had been going west on Route 518 when he apparently failed to stop for two posted stop signs and crossed both northbound lanes of travel on Route 165 before striking the truck of Mr. Silvestri, who was in the left southbound lane on Route 165, preparing to turn left on Route 518, police said.
   The impact forced Mr. Silvestri’s pickup truck across both lanes and into the opposite curb.
   Both drivers declined medical attention, but the vehicles were severely damaged.
   Mr. Rosengarten reported his brakes failed, but a check of the vehicle revealed they were in proper working order, police said.
   Mr. Rosengarten was charged with failure to stop and careless driving. Traffic was delayed for approximately an hour.
New Hope

   June 10 at 2:06 a.m., Javier Jaime DeLeon-Lopez, 41, of New Hope was charged with drunken driving after the vehicle he was operating was involved in a one-vehicle traffic accident on Oscar Hammerstein Way.
