Geraldine Gumersell

   Geraldine M. Gumersell, 84, of Monroe, died Sunday, June 17, in the University Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she moved to Staten Island, N.Y., in the early 1970s, and retired to Rossmoor in 1991. In addition to being a loving and supportive wife and mother, she was an active member with her husband in the American Legion Goldstar Post in Staten Island, the Brooklyn Club and Emerald Society of Rossmoor. She was a member of St. James the Less Church in Jamesburg.
   Her husband, William H. Gumersell, and daughter, Ann Marie DeStefano, are deceased. She is survived by two sons, William J. Gumersell, and John M. Gumersell and his wife, Natalie A.; a son-in-law, James DeStefano Sr.; four grandchildren, Patricia Scott, James DeStefano Jr., John M. Gumersell Jr. and Janet Kessler; and eight great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew, Amanda, Nicole, Robert, Avery, Sabrina and Ben.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, June 20, at St. James the Less Church, 36 Lincoln Ave., Jamesburg, N.J. Entombment followed in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
