Nancy M. (Pennay-Shaw) Squillante, died Monday, June 18.
Born in Monroe, Pa., she was a resident of Rossmoor for the last 12 years. Her background in business was administration, which included office management, operations, human resources and benefits administration, which included 23 years with Twin County Grocers, Inc., seven years in New York with The Stenrich Group, Inc. and Gilbert Charles Beylen and nine years with Standard Chlorine Chemical Company, Kearny. She retired in April 1999, returning to business in March 2001. She was employed part-time by New Jersey Citizen Action as Office Manager of the Highland Park office.
She was active with the Rossmoor Ceramic Club and served as an officer. She was a member of the Rossmoor Italian-American Club. For over 40 years, she was a member of the Women of the Moose in Linden and Edison. As an active member, she held various chairmanships and offices, earning and holding the highest degree of the order College of Regents, the Star Recorder’s degree and Academy of Friendship degree.
She was an active member until her death of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Edison. She was elected and served as their treasurer and on the task force committee, planning committee, finance committee, was a former financial secretary and worked with the thrift store.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Tony and Paula and John and Susan; her grandchildren, George, Richard, Krystle, Anthony and Johnny; her great-grandchildren, Richard Jr., Evan, Trey and Paige; a brother, Donald McCormick; a niece, Ann Hawk, and her children, Melissa and Christopher.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 22, at A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 North Main St., Cranbury. Interment followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
