Bernice D. Tamor Dickerman, 85, died Sunday, July 1, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born in Manhattan, N.Y., she resided in East Brunswick before moving to Monroe 21 years ago.
She received a bachelor’s degree from Hunter College and a master’s degree from New York University. Prior to retiring in 1986, she was a school librarian for Warnsdorfer Elementary School, East Brunswick, for 25 years.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, William; two daughters, Patricia Loomis and her husband, Larry, of Briarcliff Manor, N.Y., and Elizabeth Sickerman and her husband, Richard Arons, of Princeton Junction; and three grandchildren, Stacey Howard, Dana Lewisohn and Whitney Arons.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 3, at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, Cranbury Road at Evergreen Boulevard, East Brunswick. Interment followed at Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.
