Madeline Lantier

   Madeline Alton Lantier, 85, of Monroe, died Friday, June 29, at her home.
   Born in Bop, Canada, she lived in LaFargeville, N.Y. before moving to Monroe 45 years ago.
   She was employed for 20 years as a machine operator for the Cleveland Container Corp., Jamesburg retiring in 1987.
   Her husband, Ralph J. Lantier, died in December 2006. She is survived by her five daughters, Gloria Brandsma, Julie Chanley and Ruth Thorne, all of Monroe, Teresa Bonnell of Hightstown and Pamela LaFratta of Hamilton; four sons, Douglas of Palm Coast, Fla., Donald of Atlanta, Joseph of Theresa, N.Y.. and Ralph of Monroe; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
   A private cremation and memorial service were arranged by the Lester Memorial Home, 16 West Church St., Jamesburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the U.S. 2100 L. Street N.W., Washington D.C. 20037.
