The Montgomery Township Republican Organization has selected Frank Drift as a candidate for a three-year Township Committee seat, replacing the original candidate, Margaret Windrem.
Ms. Windrem who also serves as Montgomery municipal chairwoman has withdrawn her candidacy due to an increase of work at her consulting business.
Mr. Drift will be running in the fall for a three-year seat, along with Republican candidates Pat Graham and Kacey Dyer.
"I’m looking forward to a vigorous campaign and believe I have a lot of new ideas that will benefit the township," said Mr. Drift in a statement. "I’m thrilled to be running with two candidates of the caliber of Pat and Kacey."
Resident Johnnie Rooney has also been selected to be the Republican campaign manager.
Mr. Drift is the owner of the Daube Farm on Sunset Road, well known in Montgomery for the annual Montgomery Benefit Rodeo held at his farm each June.
The rodeo has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local charities and organizations
