Bordentown benefits from new library
To the editor:
Many sincere thanks to the Bordentown Library Association and all of our city’s elected officials and volunteers who helped to make our beautiful new library a reality. Although the entire process took much longer than expected, the final result is fantastic. The committee did a wonderful job of incorporating the historical parts of the library, such as the fireplace on the main floor, into the final plan. I encourage everyone in Bordentown to go and see our hometown, high-tech, easy-access, plenty of parking, programs galore library.
I would also like to offer many thanks to our neighbors in Fieldsboro who provided us with a nice space during the Bordentown library renovation. I am sure that many would agree it was nice to just go to the next town over to pick up books during the four-year renovation rather than having to go all the way to another branch.
Last but certainly not least, thanks to Bordentown’s top-notch library staff. Even though they were "displaced" for several years, they continued to provide friendly, efficient service in tight, borrowed quarters. In addition, the excellent children’s library programs did not miss a beat while being housed in Fieldsboro. This is truly a testament to the entire library staff for making it work so our children did not miss out during those years. We are truly blessed to have such fine individuals at our Burlington County library location.
