Local help provided Project Graduation
To the editor:

We are pleased to announce that Hillsborough Project Graduation 2007 was a great success.
Project Graduation is a nationally recognized parent run program that provides a structured drug- and alcohol-free celebration for the graduating class immediately following the commencement ceremonies.
The event was held at Dave and Buster’s in Franklin Mills, Philadelphia, and was attended by more than 400 graduates. The facilities at Dave & Buster’s were superb making this one of the best Project Graduation ever, and their staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
The Class of 2007 marks the 16th annual Project Graduation Celebration for Hillsborough.
The Project Graduation committee would like to thank all the volunteers who helped to make this year’s Project Graduation a huge success, especially the Laidlaw Bus Company who has been providing transportation for Project Graduation for the past 10 years. We would also like to thank Wegman’s, the Affinity Federal Credit Union, the Hillsborough Education Foundation, and our many local corporate sponsors that have supported us throughout the years.
Hillsborough should be very proud of the support that was demonstrated by so many business and individuals.
We would like to thank the school administration, the teachers and the staff, the Board of Education, the Hillsborough Youth Services Commission, the Township Committee, our very helpful Hillsborough Rescue Squad, who are always there, Hillsborough Fire Co. no. 2, who always answers the bell and our wonderful police department — especially our special officer’s for their continued support.
We would like to especially thank the parents and students of the Class of 2007, whose work and dedication made this year’s Project Graduation possible.
The Project Graduation Committee congratulates all the graduates and wishes them continued success, good luck and best wishes with their continuing journey and remember as we will "Always Have Springtime In Paris."

Reporting forgot Adam Jesionka
To the editor:

I recently read a story in your paper about JK Design, a new business in Hillsborough. This was the second story I came across about this company.
I am a bit surprised that no mention of the previous owner of the Staats home was included in its history other than to say "Adams Pond." Both articles, one in another publication, made no mention of Adam Jesionka, who owned the home at least going back to when I knew him in the early ’70s.
This man deserves a footnote in history. He was responsible for much of where Hillsborough is today. I am sure those who know nothing of him do not know their street names are those of his children in the first condo development in town or that the only outside water fountain in town was solely his idea at his beloved Claremont Building, since renamed.
If not for him, we would not be celebrating more than 30 years in our home. He helped us as a young couple through the intricacies of building. I could go on but those of us who knew him or have been in town for awhile know that he was a kind, tough, insightful, generous, spirited, loving life human being. I miss him but think of him every day when I drive by what to me will always be his home.
I wish JK Design good fortune in their new venture. I hope they take a moment and find out who Adam was so they can understand they have big shoes to fill.
