Police are investigating a robbery of prescription drugs from the Stop & Shop Pharmacy on Route 206 at 5:26 p.m. July 5.
According to Prosecutor Wayne Forrest, a man approached the counter and handed the pharmacist a note, demanding prescription drugs and indicating that he had a gun on his person.
The gun was never physically seen.
Mr. Forrest said the pharmacist gave the man an open bottle of hydromorphone, a painkiller, and the suspect then fled the store with the approximately 40 eight-milligram tablets he was given.

The man is described as white, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with a thin build and dirty blonde hair. He was wearing blue jeans and a blue shirt.
