D&R Greenway seeks art for fall exhibit

D&R Greenway Land Trust, a leader in land preservation in New Jersey, invites artists to submit their work for its curated fall exhibition, "The Road Not Taken," which will be on display Oct. 15 through Jan. 11.
Works will be exhibited in the Marie L. Matthews Gallery at the Johnson Education Center, located at 1 Preservation Place, off Rosedale Road in Princeton. Chosen works will highlight pathways into nature, especially trails and landscapes that are either preserved or not yet "taken" by development.
"Artists have experienced these special places and been moved by what they have seen. ‘Roads Not Taken’ will allow us to escape from our busy lives and find serenity in the natural world," said Linda Mead, executive director.
Works of art in all media and styles, including sculpture, will be considered, so long as they are inspired by nature. All art will be available for sale, with a gallery fee of 35 percent to support D&R Greenway’s land preservation mission.
Artists are advised to e-mail jpeg images, keeping file size to a minimum, by Sept. 1 to [email protected], or mail images to D&R Greenway Land Trust, 1 Preservation Place, Princeton 08540. E-mail submission is preferred.
Artists who have not previously registered with D&R Greenway’s Artists’ Registry are advised to include their name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone number, and an artist’s bio and statement.
