Mary A. Dorman Krygier, 87, died Friday, July 13 peacefully with her daughter at her side.
She was a devoted wife and mother who had an Irish wit and brought laughter to everyone she touched.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Northern New Jersey before moving to Helmetta 47 years ago. She moved to South Brunswick in 1974 and to Monroe in 2000. She currently resided at Chelsea of East Brunswick.
She was employed as dining hall supervisor at the State Home for Boys. She had great compassion for the boys, and enjoyed mentoring them.
She was a former member of South Brunswick Senior Center, Brooklyn Club, and Emerald Society at Rossmoor.
She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Sarno, and son-in-law, Jerry; two sons, James Krygier and his wife, Kathy and Stephen Krygier; a brother, Joseph Dorman and sister-in-law, Dolly; a sister-in-law, Ann Talian; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her husband, Zygmunt Krygier died in 1990, and her daughter, Patricia Ploss died in 1991.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 17 at Brunswick Memorial Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Helmetta. Interment followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Monroe.
