Eugene J. "Jimmy" Bellina, 85, died Friday, July 15, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born and raised in Newark, he lived there until moving to Edison in 1970 and finally to Clearbrook in 1999. He was owner and operator of his own oil supply and delivery business, Jimmy’s Oil Service, in Newark for 20 years before starting a second business, U.S. Fir Cleaners, in Manhattan, N.Y., where he worked for many years before his retirement. He was a parishioner of Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gloria M. (Luciano) of Monroe Township; his son, James A. and his wife, Deborah, of Skillman; his daughters, Gloria Jean Lucarelli and her husband, Joseph A., of Hillsborough, and Mary Ann Buccino and her husband, Robert A., of Hillsborough; his brother, Carl Bellina and his wife, Julia, of Sayreville; eight grandchildren, Andrew J. and Matthew J. Bellina, Joseph A., Steven J. and Jaclyn M. Lucarelli and Valerie L., Carly R. and Liana M. Buccino; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 16, from the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Monroe Township. A funeral mass followed at Nativity of Our Lord R.C. Church, Monroe Township followed by Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.
