Cassie Vaccaro
Cassie Vaccaro, of Lawrence, died July 19 at the Alfred I. Dupont Children’s Hospital after her long battle with cystic fibrosis. She was 11.
Born in Mount Holly, she was a Lawrence resident most of her life.
Cassie was a good student and liked to ride horses and go fishing. She liked to dance and attended classes at Dance Stars, in Lawrence.
She is survived by her parents, Richard and Pamela Shelmet Vaccaro; sisters Jillian and Faith Vaccaro; grandparents Walter and Patricia Shelmet Sr. and John and Robbie Vaccaro; aunts Patrice and Michael Hennessy Sr., Michelle and David Everman, and Susan and Richard Parker; uncles Walter and Jeri Shelmet Jr. and Wayne and Kim Vaccaro; many cousins, great aunts and great uncles; and her very best friend, Casey Gladwell. Cassie will be missed by her friends, teachers, all the doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists and her two dogs, Hunter and Princess.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday at the Church of St. Ann, 1253 Lawrence Road. Burial was private.

John Danielewicz
John A. Danielewicz died July 18 at the Rosehill Assisted Living Facility, Washington Township. He was 84.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Danielewicz was a lifelong Trenton and Lawrence Township resident.
He was an U.S. Army veteran during World War II serving with the 871st Field Artillery Company during the campaign in Northern France.
Mr. Danielewicz retired in 1985 after 25 years with the Township of Lawrence, Roads Department, as a truck driver.
Son of the late Anthony and Stephania Piotroska Danielewicz, and brother of the late Isabel Danielewicz, he is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph S. and Margaretta Danielewicz, of Wheat Ridge, Colo.; three nieces and their spouses, Doris and David Hinton, of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Donna and William Edwards, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Deborah and Joseph Vasta, of Hamilton; nephew Stephen Danielewicz, of Littleton, Colo.; four grandnephews, Jason Edwards, Thomas Edwards, Tyler Hinton and Michael Vasta; and one grandniece, Daniella Vasta.
The funeral was held July 21 at the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, Trenton. Burial was in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Hamilton Township.

Anne Bielamowicz
Anne H. Chopko Bielamowicz died July 11 at her home. She was 84.
Born in Trenton, Mrs. Bielamowicz was a lifelong Trenton and Lawrence Township resident.
She retired in 1995 after 40 years, with her husband Joseph, as co-owner of Joe’s Produce Market on Baker’s Basin Road.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
Daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Beers Chopko, and wife of the late Joseph J. Bielamowicz Sr., she is survived by her two sons and two daughters-in-law, Joseph J. Jr. and Maryann Bielamowicz, of Pennington, and John T. and Diane H. Bielamowicz, of Northport, Maine; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Darryl Foyuth, of Lawrence Township; four grandchildren, Carissa A. Bielamowicz, of Camden, Maine, Stephen J. Bielamowicz, of Morristown, Suzanne M. Bielamowicz, of Boston, Mass., and Bernard J. Foyuth, of Lawrence Township; her sister Margaret Sterling, of Yardville; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held on July 14. Entombment was in the Corridor of St. Francis in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton Township.
Nancee Sherman
Nancee G. Sherman died July 8 at the University Medical Center at Princeton. She was 54.
Born in Cortland, N.Y., to the late William J. Griffiths and to Joanne Griffiths Jack, she lived in Boston for 20 years before moving to Lawrence seven years ago.
Ms. Sherman was an employee of the Princeton Public Library.
After graduating from Horseheads High School in Horseheads, N.Y., she received her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oswego. She loved books, music, the Red Sox, movies, the ocean, pigs, potatoes and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Gordon F. Sherman; two daughters, Laura and Emily; her mother, Joanne; one sister and two brothers, Wendee J. Manderscheid, William J. and Thomas R. Griffiths; and her mother and father-in-law, Delores and Gordon Sherman Sr.
A memorial service was held July 14 at the Princeton Public Library.

Andrew Mason III
Andrew P. Mason III died July 18 while on a family vacation in St. Thomas, Virgin IslandsHe was 51.
Born in Philadelphia, he was a Lawrence resident.
Mr. Mason was manager of customer development at Church & Dwight in Princeton for the past six years. Prior to that position, he held several positions with Kraft Foods.
Mr. Mason was a graduate of St. Joseph’s Preparatory School and St. Joseph’s University, class of 1979. He attended St. Joseph’s on a soccer scholarship and played on both St. Joseph’s Prep and University teams. He helped develop the CYO soccer program at The Church of Saint Ann and coached both the boys and girls teams. He also coached recreational teams in Lawrence, Ewing and Philadelphia.
Son of the late Andrew P. Jr. and Geraldine McCartney Mason, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathleen (Brown) Mason; his three children, Mary Catherine, Melissa A. and Andrew P. Mason IV, all of Lawrence; one sister, Maureen Till, of Philadelphia; nieces and nephews Kevin, Michael and Brian Till, with whom he was especially close, and Ryan and Caitlin Brown.
Funeral will be at 9:15 a.m. today at the M. William Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Ave., Ewing. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at The Church of Saint Ann, 1253 Lawrenceville Road. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visiting hours were on Wednesday and from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Anna Kawalek
TRENTON Anna M. Czapik Kawalek died July 20 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton. She was 86.
Born in Trenton, Mrs. Kawalek was a lifelong Trenton resident.
She retired in 1987 after 25 years of service with the City of Trenton in the Division of Taxation office at City Hall.
Daughter of the late Michael and Anna Bobik Czapik, wife of the late Walter J. Kawalek, sister of the late George Capik, Michael Capik, Dorothy Brovak, Helen Ducko and Bernice Pfleiderer, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth J. and Linda J. Kawalek, of Lawrence Township; her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and John J. Lukaszewksi, of Yardville; grandsons Eric and his wife, Kelly Kawalek, of Burlington Township and John J. Lukaszewski, of Yardville; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral was held Tuesday at the Winowicz Funeral Home, Trenton. Burial was in St. Mary’s Assumption Cemetery No. 2, Hamilton Township.
