BORDENTOWN CITY
On July 17 at 11:52 p.m. police making a routine check of the Delaware River waterfront beach said they saw six people sitting and standing around a picnic table, three of whom fled when police approached.
Police said two juveniles were charged with possession of alcoholic beverages and Michael Hernandez, 21, of Trenton, was charged with trespassing, possession of alcohol in a city park, and hindering apprehension, after police said he gave a fictitious name. Police said Charles Schneider, 21, of Trenton, who had originally fled from police, was located and charged with trespassing, possession of alcohol in a city park and obstruction, for fleeing.
Mr. Schneider was turned over to the Trenton Police Department on outstanding warrants, police said. The two adults were scheduled for court dates in August and the juveniles, whose age and genders were not given by police, were scheduled to appear in juvenile court in Mount Holly at a later date.
FLORENCE
Two Florence residents were charged with drug possession and other charges after police executed a search warrant at a house on the 10 block of West Third Street at 1:45 p.m. on July 19.
Police said the raid stemmed from information obtained by Florence detectives regarding illegal drugs being sold from the residence.
Adriane Walsh, 23, of Florence, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ms. Walsh was released on her own recognizance.
Jack Demray, 21, who lives at the house that was searched, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to distribute, possession of fireworks, and distribution of drugs within 500 feet of a school zone.
The state police assisted the raid with a K-9 officer. Police said the dog located marijuana (less than 50 grams) and drug paraphernalia during the search. Also, police said they located fireworks and drug packaging materials at the residence.
Mr. Demray was held at the Burlington County Jail, unable to post the $27,500 bail.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
