Edward William Garrabrant Jr., 58, of Monmouth Junction, died Friday, July 27, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.
Born in Newark, he lived in Monroe before moving to Monmouth Junction eight years ago. He was a self-employed businessman, owner of One + One Construction Co. for 35 years and Bald Eagle Enterprises, both of Monmouth Junction.
His parents, Edward W. Sr. and Joan (Devine) Garrabrant, a son, Edward W. III, a grandson, Austin, a brother, Donald, and a sister, Betty Ann Garrabrant, are deceased. She is survived by his wife, Barbara Bowers Garrabrant; a son, Matthew of Monmouth Junction; three daughters, Kelly Tomarchio of Belle Mead, Diana Garrabrant of Old Bride, and Abbie Carr of Monmouth Junction; a stepson, Charles Carr of Florida; a stepdaughter, Sandy Carr of East Windsor; three sisters, Deborah Krypec of Helmetta, Susan Garrabrant of Spotswood, and Joanne Childs of Easton, Pa.; nine grandchildren; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his mother-in-law, Valerie Bowers; and his brother-in-law, Christopher Bowers.
Services were held Tuesday, July 31, at Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Burial was at Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations for the Garrabrant children’s education may be made to Barbara Garrabrant and sent through the Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg.
