The Metro Lyric Opera rounds out its 49th season Saturday with a fully staged production of Rossini’s comic opera “The Barber of Seville” at the newly renovated Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park.
Set in late 18th century Seville, the opera includes the classic mix of love, lechery, riches, hidden identity and wisdom. The cast includes lyric tenor Ronald Naldi, soprano Jessica Tivens and bass Bill Fleck.
Anton Coppola will conduct. Company Director is Era Tognoli, an Allenhurst resident.
The performance begins at 8:15 p.m. at The Paramount Theatre, located at 1300 Ocean Ave. on the Asbury Park boardwalk. Valet parking is available.
Tickets are $30 – $55 and are available one hour before showtime at the theater box office on the day of the performance.
