WHITEHOUSE STATION George W. Carman Sr. died July 16 at home. He was 79.
Born in Pluckemin, he lived in Whitehouse for 34 years.
Mr. Carman was an owner-operator truck driver for most of his life.
He served his country as a first class seaman in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was predeceased by a son, George Jr., in 2004; and two brothers, Andrew, of Manville, who died July 14, and Donald.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille (Kromer) Carman; two sons, Kent and Guy; three daughters, Charmaine Politano, Carin Guelich and Rebecca Nicoletti; two brothers, Richard and Wesley; a sister, Roberta Higgins; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were private.
