Edward L. Burkhardt
Edward Burkhardt, 89, of Fredericksburg, Va. died Monday at the Alterra Sterling House in Florence. Born and raised in Florence, he lived there for most of his life, living in Seaside Park for 10 years and Fredericksburg for eight years before returning to Florence six months ago.
Mr. Burkhardt retired in 1982 as a supervisor for the Roebling Steel Co., and prior to that for the CF&I Corp in Roebling for a total of over 40 years service.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and also served in the New Jersey National Guard for almost 30 years, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. He was a member of Burlington Lodge 32, F&AM, the Florence American Legion Post 194, the Shriners, and a former member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge.
Husband of the late Thelma Carlton Burkhardt, he is survived by a daughter, Kim Burkhardt of Florence, and two sons, Jeffrey of Blakeslee, Pa., and wife Anne; and Edward Jr. of Fredericksburg, Va. and wife, Doris; a sister, Iris Burkhardt Brainier of Bonita Springs, Fla.; grandchildren, Dana Right of Phoenixville, Pa. and Jason of Perkiomenville, Pa.; great-grandchildren Alexandra and Ian Right and Andrew and Katie Burkhardt; and nieces and newphews and their families.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Dennison Funeral Home, 214 W. Front St., Florence. Officiating will be the Rev. Ivo Meilands. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetary, Florence.
Visitation with the family will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. American Legion services will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. Contributions in his memory may be sent to a charity of church of the donor’s choice.
Mary T. Hatala
MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP Mary T. Hatala, 90, died Sunday at Genesis Elder Care Center, Mercerville.
Born in Perth Amboy, she was a lifelong resident of Mansfield Township.
She was a longtime member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, the Mansfield Township Senior Citizens Group and the National Slovak Society. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her senior groups. Ms. Hatala was an outstanding cook and had a passion for preparing ethnic meals.
Wife of the late Michael Hatala Jr., she is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Susann Hatala of Columbus and Maryann and Harry Warner of Roebling, and one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Joyce Hatala of Cream Ridge. She was the devoted grandmother to Sarah Warner, Corinne (Bob) Cain, and Shawn (Natalya) Warner, and one great-grandson, Cody Wilson.
Relatives and friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. today, Thursday, at the Wesley United Methodist Church, 24573 E. Main St., Columbus. A funeral service will follow at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Columbus Cemetery, Columbus. Donations can be made in Mary’s memory to the Wesley United Methodist Church, 24573 E. Main St., Columbus, NJ 08022. Arrangements are under the direction of the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown.
Thelma J. Kunz
SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP Thelma J. Kunz, 75, died Sunday.
Born in Tunkhannock, Pa., she spent most of her life in and around the Bordentown area. She was a devout Christian who loved spending her time with family and friends.
Wife of the late Karl J. Kunz Jr., mother of the late Karl J. Kunz III, and mother-in-law of the late George Harshman, she is survived by her two sons, Frank and Jennifer Kunz and Alan Kunz and Tammy Stieber; three daughters, Sherry Harshman, Karla and David Reed and Lori and Frank Donohue; seven grandchildren, Erich, David, Tara, Ryan, Frank and his mother Maryanna, Jessica and Karista; a great-granddaughter Hailey; and several other brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown. Interment was in the Bordentown Cemetery.

Lozero DiCioccio
ROEBLING Lozero DiCioccio, 83, died July 25 in Marcella Center, Burlington Township.
Mr. DiCioccio was born in Burlington and resided in Roebling for the past 56 years. He was a retired ironworker with 22 years of service at Local No. 68 in Trenton and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church, Francis W. Robbins American Legion Post No. 194, Florence and Opre Larson VFW Post No. 8833, Roebling.
Son of the late Manuel and Margaret Yaniro DiCioccio, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen M. Fantozzi DiCioccio; son and daughter-in-law, Lozero and Andrea DiCioccio Jr. of Florence; five sisters and a brother-in-law, his twin Mary DelVecchio of Mount Laurel, Mildred Giano of Burlington, Anne Brendal of Bellmawr, Alemeda Barrett of Ocean Port and Rebecca and Anthony Natale of Cherry Hill; brother and sister-in-law, James and Josephine DiCioccio of Burlington; a brother-in-law, Anthony Carugno of Florence; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Ange and Joseph Russo of Florence, Agnes Campbell of Florence, Josephine Piotrowski of Yardville and Michael Fantozzi of Roebling; many nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A funeral service was held from Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors in Roebling and a Mass of Christian Burial was held at Holy Assumption Catholic Church.
A wake service, VFW service and American Legion service were conducted during calling hours. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Florence.
Antoinette Prunetti
HAMILTON Antoinette Prunetti, 64, died July 24 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
Born in Trenton she was a Hamilton resident for 35 years. She was an active member of Our Lady of Sorrows-St. Anthony Parish.
She was predeceased by her parents, Charles Yanucil Sr. and Clara Salzano Yanucil; and her son, Dominic Prunetti. She is survived by her husband, Frank J. Prunetti; daughters Nicoletta and her husband Matthew Rebbeck of Hamilton and Sr. Carrie Maria Prunetti of Sisters Minor of Mary Immaculate, Rome, Italy; sister Phyllis and husband Joseph Carrubba of Columbus; brothers Charles Jr. and Jeanette Yanucil of Columbus, John and Rosemary Yanucil of Hamilton, Michael and Maria Yanucil of Mount Laurel and James Yanucil of Mount Laurel; mother-in-law Irene Prunetti of Bordentown; brother-in-law Robert and wife Maryann Prunetti of Ewing; sister-in-law Faye Prunetti of Lawrenceville; and many nieces, nephews, aunts , uncles, and cousins.
The funeral was held from Gruerio Funeral Home, Trenton. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Mercerville.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton.
Alice Ireland Wilson
EWING TOWNSHIP Alice Ireland Wilson, 92, died July 24 in the Capital Health System at Fuld.
Born in Fieldsboro, she was a former resident of Hamilton Township. Ms. Wilson was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church.
Daughter of the late George and Johanna Ireland, sister of the late Walter Gable, Marion Towers, George Ireland Jr., Ella Bingenheimer, John Ireland, Grace Griffith, Ethel Mealy, Alfred Ireland, Mildred Griffith and Muriel McCullough, and wife of the late Charles E. Wilson, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jessie and James Jobst of Ewing Township; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles (Abe) and Rowena Wilson of Browns Mills; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Orland’s Ewing Memorial Chapel, Ewing Township. Burial was in Colonial Memorial Park.
Sally A. Adamitis Eirikis
ROEBLING Sally A. Adamitis Eirikis, 91, died July 24 in Burlington Woods.
Ms. Eirikis was born in Roebling and resided there most of her life. She was previously employed by Zenith Textile and John A. Roebling, CF&I. She was a member of John A. Roebling Senior Citizens, Roebling Historical Society and Woodmen of the World Fraternal Organization.
Daughter of the late John and Anna Shinkus Adamitis and wife of the late Stanley J. Eirikis, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lorraine A. and Kevin Fitzpatrick of Florence; her son and daughter-in-law, John S. and Gail Eirikis of Mt. Laurel; six grandchildren, Eric Eirikis, Jill Lawton, Kristy Zaleta, Jennifer Cipriano-Smith, David Eirikis and Vincent Cipriano Jr.; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Clare’s Catholic Church in Florence and interment was in the church’s cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors in Roebling.

Leslie Paula Harrington
CHESTERFIELD Leslie Paula Harrington (nee Wysocki) died July 23.
Born in Ashby, Mass., Ms. Harrington was a devoted wife and mother. For many years, she worked in technical sales of aluminum extrusions used in the aircraft industry in California. Most recently, she was employed in retail sales management in the Chesterfield area. In retirement, she enjoyed going to the beach, gardening, bird watching, photography and traveling, especially to Singapore.
Daughter of the late Ronald Wysocki and Deidra Allen, she is survived by her husband of 31 years, Michael Harrington; her son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Julie Martino of East Brunswick; her daughter, Heidi Harrington, M.D. of Redlands, Calif.; her brother, Ronald Wysocki of Boston, Mass.; her cousin, Roger Altman of New York, N.Y.; and her extended family including brothers-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at the Peppler Funeral Home in Allentown. Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family.
Harriet Applegate Clark
SARASOTA, Fla. Harriet Applegate Clark, 90, died July 23 at Tidewell Hospice.
Born in Trenton, she was a resident for 50 years before retiring to Sarasota, Fla.
Daughter of the late Harrison and Mary Hughes Applegate, wife of the late Samuel Clark, sister of the late Harry Applegate and Mildred McGuire and sister-in-law of the late John Marfino and Thomas McGuire and Al Allen, she is survived by her daughter and her husband, Robert and Patricia Applegate Gervasoni; her granddaughters and their husbands, Eric and Kimberly Gervasoni Reichard of Bordentown and Dr. Niel and Melissa Gervasoni Perilstein of Edison; her great-grandchildren Emma and Sarah Reichard and Garrett and Gillian Perilstein; her sister Mable Marfino and Doris Allen of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass was held at Sacred Heart Church.
