Cherry Mae Jones, 72, of Jamesburg, died Friday, July 27, at St. Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
Born and educated in Cape Charles, Va., Ms. Jones was a member of the Capeville Baptist Church. Upon relocating to New Jersey, she joined Robbinsville First Baptist Church.
She worked at the Presbyterian Homes for 19 years.
Her parents, Willie Mau and Lorenzo Stevens Dr., daughter, Diane Jones-Miller, and grandson, Rodney Miller, are deceased. She is survived by her grandson, Lenneth Miller and his wife, Danielle; three great-granddaughters, Darrah Diann, McKenna Nicole and Riley Marie Miller; her brother, Lorenzo Stevens Jr. and his wife, Geraldine; two nieces, Dale Hill and Cynthia Clark; two nephews, Larry Stevens and Patrick Stevens; three great-nieces; seven great-nephews; and a host of loving cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Mount Ararat Baptist Church, 20 State St., Jamesburg. Interment followed at Fernwood Cemetery, Jamesburg. Arrangements were by Campbell Funeral Chapel, Trenton.
