Evelyn Elizabeth Burd
Evelyn Elizabeth Burd of Hopewell Township died Aug. 2 at the University Medical Center, Princeton.
Born in Dutch Neck in 1920, she had been a resident of Hopewell Township for over 55 years. She was an active member of the Pennington United Methodist Church.
A graduate of Princeton High School and Trenton State College, she taught in local schools for 28 years.
Daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth E. Blackwell and sister of the late Arthur Blackwell, she is survived by her husband of 60 years, Henry P. Burd; and many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Pennington United Methodist Church, 60 S. Main St., with the Rev. Myungim Kim, pastor, officiating.
Interment will be in Harbourton Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today (Monday) at the Blackwell Memorial Home, 21 N. Main St., Pennington.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Memorial Fund of the Pennington United Methodist Church.
Ann L. Whitlock
Ann L. (Leoncavallo) Whitlock, 83, of Hopewell died Aug. 2 at the Princeton Care Center, Princeton.
Born in Union City, she has been a resident of Hopewell for 49 years.
She worked for 41 years at Maurice Browning of the Tomato Factory, Hopewell, as a seamstress. She was a member of Hopewell Valley American Legion Auxiliary Unit 339.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert G. Whitlock Sr.; three children, Linda Malek and son-in-law Dan of West Amwell Township, Donna Perrine and son-in-law, Allen of Pennington, and Robert G. Whitlock Jr. and daughter-in-law Angela of North Wales, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Michelle Flynn, Melissa Malek, Jessica Whitlock, Meg Perrine, Lisa Whitlock, Christina Whitlock and Rebecca Whitlock; three great grandchildren, Daniel, Kyle and Hunter; and two brothers, Nicholas Leoncavallo of Tennessee and Joseph Leoncavallo of California.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle.
Burial will be in the Rocky Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill.
