WEST WINDSOR — The township will celebrate National Night Out at the WaterWorks Aquatic Complex at 5:30 p.m. tonight.
Pool facilities, including a kiddie pool, family pool, lap pool, water slides and a playground, will be open to the public for the national crime prevention event, now in its 24th year.
According to West Windsor Police Chief Joseph Pica, the event is designed to "foster a positive relationship between the public and the police."
Officers from the department’s Community Policing Unit will be available to answer questions about crime prevention, personal security and child passenger safety, and Womanspace volunteers will provide information on victim services for women in Mercer County.
Vehicles from the West Windsor Township Police Department, Princeton Junction Fire Department and Twin "W" First Aid Squad will be on display.
Radio station 94.5 PST will provide music and limited giveaways will be available.
