Lambertville

   Luis Vargas, 27, of Trenton was arrested on an outstanding burglary charge as a result of a traffic stop July 30.
   Police stopped a vehicle in which Mr. Vargas was a passenger on Belvidere Avenue at 12:15 a.m. after the vehicle was observed driving in circles, and none of the passengers were wearing seatbelts.
   A check revealed Mr. Vargas was wanted in Mercer County for burglary, police said. Mr. Vargas and the other occupants said they were looking for the abandoned Lambertville High School and had become lost.
   Mr. Vargas was taken to Hunterdon County Jail where he was held without bail to await transfer to Mercer County.
   Joseph Kennedy, 55, of Philadelphia was charged with drunken driving Sunday.
   Police stopped Mr. Kennedy at 11:35 p.m. after he was seen driving into the median on Route 29 near the Laceworks building.
   Mr. Kennedy also was charged with reckless driving and failure to keep right and released to a friend.
   Richard Runge, 53, of West End, N.J., was charged with drunken driving Sunday.
   Police stopped Mr. Runge for going 60 mph on Route 165, which has a posted speed limit of 35 mph.
   Mr. Runge also was charged with reckless driving and speeding and released without bail.
   Abraham Nerys, 58, of New Hope was charged with drunken driving Aug. 1.
   Police stopped Mr. Nerys on South Union Street at 2:18 a.m. after he was observed driving erratically, police said.
   Mr. Nerys also was charged with reckless driving, obstructing traffic and improper parking and was released without bail.
   Estela Alosi, 41, of Raritan was charged with drunken driving Friday.
   Police stopped Ms. Alosi at 1:39 a.m. after she was observed swerving on Bridge Street, police said.
   She also was charged with reckless driving, failure to keep right and failure to exhibit documents and released without bail.
   Gregory Zak, 46, of Hamilton was arrested on an outstanding warrant as a result of a traffic stop Saturday.
   Police stopped Mr. Zak at 2:05 a.m. after he was observed speeding on Route 29 near the Laceworks building, police said.
   Mr. Zak had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear on charges in Bloomfield Township, police said. He was released after posting $66 bail.
   A resident on Douglas Street reported Sunday that his wallet and loose change were stolen from his unlocked vehicle sometime during the night.
   The wallet contained credit cards and cash along with his identification. Approximately $180 in cash and changed were reported taken.
New Hope

   July 13, Stella Spinelli-Hawthorne, 43, of Blooming Glen, Pa., was charged with drunken driving as a result of an incident that occurred in a West Bridge Street parking lot.
   July 14, Kerry Corcoran, 41, of New Hope was charged with drunken driving after she was observed operating her vehicle in an unlawful manner on West Bridge Street, police said.
West Amwell

   July 24 at 9:27 a.m., a 12-year-old Trenton male was charged with illegal possession of a weapon.
   Police were called to the Educational Services Commission School on Route 179 by school administrators after they seized a hunting knife with a 5-inch blade from the student’s back pack after being tipped off by another student.
   The juvenile was released to a parent.
   July 29 at 8:15 p.m., Doug Stokes of Route 179 reported that sometime between June 30 and July 30, someone entered a family owned barn, damaging and removing items from his snowmobiles.
   Reported stolen were fuel caps and keys. Wires were forcibly ripped from the hand-grip heater cables, police said.
   Terry Lynam, owner of Pine Creek Miniature Golf at 394 Route 31 notified police he is posting a $1,000 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of the individuals who stole a stuffed sheep from the entrance to the club house sometime between June 10 and June 12.
   The sheep is covered in genuine white lamb’s wool, several inches thick, and stands approximately 30-inches tall with four 8-inch wooden legs.
