Loretta M. Lord, 90, died Thursday, Aug. 2, at Monroe Village.
Born in Bridgeport, Conn., she resided in the Avenel and Fords sections of Woodbridge before moving to Monroe four years ago.
She was employed as a journeywoman with Quinn and Boden Company in Rahway for 22 years, retiring in 1978. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy; belonged to Golden Circle, Avenel Seniors; and served as an ambassador at Monroe Village Assisted Living.
Her husband, Kenneth, died in 1956. She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Smith of East Windsor, Susan Napolitano of Monroe, and Patricia Vella of Brick; six grandchildren, Valerie Vella-Palumbo, Kenneth Vella, Jeanine Vella, Heatheranne Farkas, Robert Napolitano and Susan Yoder; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services took place Tuesday, Aug. 7, at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Rector and Gordon streets, Perth Amboy. Cremation was private. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peters Parish Fund, 183 Rector St., Perth Amboy, N.J. 08861.
