William Miller, 74, died Sunday, Aug. 5, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
He was born in Newark and was a longtime resident of the Somerset section of Franklin before moving to Monroe four years ago. He was an Army Veteran. He was a congregant of Temple Beth El in Somerset.
He was an avid Mets fan and loved watching classic movies. The Turner Movie Classics channel was his absolute favorite.
Being an only child, he valued family above all else. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.
His wife, Adele, died in 2005. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Dene Miller of North Brunswick; his daughter, Amy Miller of Monroe; three grandchildren, Tyler, Gillian and Andrew Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held graveside on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Riverside Cemetery, Saddlebrook. Arrangements were under the direction of Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset.
