Police have reported seven vehicular burglaries in two north Hillsborough neighborhoods occurring between Aug. 6 and Aug. 11.
The burglaries on Nottingham Way and Kimberly Road all occurred while the vehicles were parked at residents’ homes.
On Nottingham Way, one woman reported that $4 in change had been stolen from the ash tray of her vehicle, while, according to police, another resident said a portable VHS player, worth $200, was removed.
Police said a third Nottingham Way resident found that a purse, valued at $40, had been stolen from her, but it was returned. Police reported it had been found on the property of an unknown Manville resident.
On Dukes Parkway East, a man reported that two vehicles parked in front of his home were broken into, one missing a radar detector and key to a separate truck, the other missing a radio from the center console. The radar detector was valued at $300 and the radio at $600.
A Kimberly Road resident also reported that a radar detector, valued at $125, had been removed from the front windshield of his vehicle.
Finally, another Kimberly Road resident told police that an someone had broken into his vehicle and moved his briefcase from the back seat, where he had left it, to the front passenger seat.
In all cases, there was no sign of forced entry into the vehicle.
