Morris Segal, 86, died Saturday, Aug. 18 in his home in South Brunswick.
Born near the Poland-Russian border, he came to the United States in 1924 and settled in the Bronx before moving to South Brunswick. He lived in North Brunswick for 36 years before returning to South Brunswick in 2003.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps serving as a radio electronics technician during World War II. He was an auditor with the Internal Revenue Service in Manhattan for 22 years before retiring in 1985. Prior, he worked for the Central Jersey Farmers’ Co-op in Hightstown. He was a graduate of Rutgers University.
His wife, Berti Oppenheimer Segal, died in 1975 and his brother, George Segal, died previously. He is survived by his daughter Janet Campisano, her husband, Anthony, and their daughters, Katie and Emily, of of Kendall Park.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 20, at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick. Interment followed in Washington Cemetery in South Brunswick.
