For the week of Aug. 23

Ivan Filimonchuk
   HILLSBOROUGH — Ivan Filimonchuk died Aug. 16 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Hunterdon. He was 83.
   Born in Vasylivka, Ukraine, he had been a resident of Hillsborough for the past 30 years.
   Mr. Filimonchuk worked as an engineer for the U.S. government at the Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton and Fort Dix for 30 years, retiring in 1989.
   He was a member of St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, South Bound Brook.
   Surviving are his wife, Danielle Filimonchuk of Hillsborough; a brother, Anton of Budd Lake; four nephews; and one niece.
   A liturgy was celebrated Aug. 20 at St. Andrews’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church in South Bound Brook. Burial followed on church grounds at St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Arrangements were by Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville.
Andrew Lindstrom
   HILLSBOROUGH — Andrew H. Lindstrom died Aug. 13 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. He was 79.
   He was born and raised in Somerville and moved to Hillsborough 23 years ago.
   Mr. Lindstrom worked for the Postal Supply Center in Somerville for 37 years.
   He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
   He was a member of the Manville VFW Post 2290.
   Surviving is his wife. Rose (Treiber) Lindstrom; one son, Andrew; two daughters, Rose Kelley of Tallahassee, Fla., and Edith Lindstrom of Hillsborough; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
   A funeral service was held Aug. 18 from the Hillsborough Funeral Home, Hillsborough. Burial followed in Neshanic Cemetery, Hillsborough.
Frank Cascia Jr.
   HILLSBOROUGH — Frank P. Cascia Jr., 42, died Aug. 1 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
   He was born in New York City.
   Surviving are his wife, Colleen; four children, Cassandra Ann Rost and her husband Tim, of Delaware, Frank Paul Cascia of Hillsborough, James Daniel Cascia and 21-month-old Carmella Cascia, both at home. He is also survived by his father, Frank P. Cascia Sr. of Highlands and New York.
   Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Pfleger Funeral Home in Middletown.
