Obituaries for week of Aug. 24

Ronald E. Coker
   EAST WINDSOR — Ronald E. “Ronnie” Coker, 59, of East Windsor, died Saturday while vacationing at his favorite place, Gettysburg, Pa.
   Born on Staten Island, N.Y., Mr. Coker was a superintendent of Windsor Castle Apartments since 1995 when he moved to the area. He previously owned and operated his own tile business. During his earlier years, he was a merchant seaman.
   Mr. Coker enjoyed woodworking and was an avid movie buff.
   He is survived by his wife, JoAnne; daughter and son-in-law Carol and William Williams; grandsons Joseph and Mathew Williams; and five brothers and two sisters, all of whom live out of state.
   Funeral services were held Thursday at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, Hightstown.
   Interment followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown.
Ann P. Carter
   CRANBURY — Ann P. Carter, 91, died Tuesday at The Elms of Cranbury.
   Born in Coaldale, Pa., she was a resident of Cranbury since 1961.
   Mrs. Carter was a receptionist for many years at McGraw-Hill in East Windsor. She was a member of the Rocky Brook Country Club and St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church in Hightstown, as well as its Anthonians club.
   Wife of the late Phillip A. Carter, she is survived by her two sons, Robert T. Carter of Longmont, Colo., and Richard M. Carter of Allentown; her grandchildren, Melissa Pillak, Brian, Brad and Kevin Carter and Jodie Couture; and her great-grandchildren, Katie, James, Reese, Lindsay, Grant, Dylan and Jordan.
   Funeral services will be held 9 a.m. today at the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. from St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown.
   Interment will follow in Brainerd Cemetery, Cranbury.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cranbury First Aid Squad, 68 Maplewood Ave., Cranbury, NJ 08512.
Judith Sturman
   PRINCETON — Judith Ruth Sturman, 87, died Aug. 6 at Princeton Care Center.
   Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., daughter of the late Nathan and Gertrude Blumberg Lubin, she was a self-employed tailor.
   Mrs. Sturman was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Sturman.
   Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Michael Carretti of East Windsor; her son and daughter-in-law, David and Nancy Sturman of East Windsor; two sisters, Harriet Smoller and Sylvia Greenberg; and three grandsons, Kevin and Glenn Sturman, and Charles Carretti.
   Private interment of the cremains took place at Brig. Gen. William A. Doyle Veterans’ Cemetery, Wrightstown.
   Arrangements were by Crabiel Memorial Funeral Home, Hightstown.
