A Somerville Avenue resident reported the theft of a video iPod and an iPod charger from her locked Ford Mustang while it was parked in front of her house at 12:48 p.m. Aug. 20.
The total value of the items is $400.

Kazim Uzun, of Readington Township, was taken into custody on a warrant for theft in the amount of $35,000 issued by Readington Township.
Mr. Uzun was processed and released on $3,500 cash bail.

At 2:19 a.m. Aug. 21, Daniel Pietrangelo, 32, of East Camplain Road, was charged with driving under the influence, after allegedly backing his 1988 Chevy van into another car while at the post office on Brooks Boulevard.
Mr. Pietrangelo was processed and released to a family member.

Police responded to a report of a broken window at a Brooks Boulevard residence at 12:29 a.m. Aug. 22.
No damage estimate was available.

Police found a bicycle at 8:59 a.m. Aug. 22 between South 16th Avenue and Vermont Avenue. The 20-inch boys black and gold Mongoose mountain bike was placed in the police inventory.

Police responded to a report of a raccoon on South 16th Avenue at 12:30 p.m. Aug. 22. The raccoon, which was not believed to be rabid, was located on South 17th Avenue and an animal control officer removed it.

Police reported to the corner of Dukes Parkway and North Second Avenue at 7:44 a.m. Aug. 24, to investigate a collision between a bicyclist and a car. Patrols were unable to locate the crash, but found a 20-inch Murphy Wildcat men’s mountain bike.

Alysa Phillips, 18, of Franklin Park, was charged with theft at 5:36 p.m. Aug. 24, after a Wal-Mart manager reported seeing her take $1,044 from a cash register.
Ms. Phillips was released after processing.

A caller reported a poisonous snake was in the road between South Eighth Avenue and Roosevelt Avenue at 6:41 p.m. Aug. 25, but police reported that the snake, dead when police arrived, was not poisonous.

At 12:36 a.m. Aug. 27, a caller reported damage to his vehicle while it was parked at Reading Cinema on North Main Street. Police reported that someone poured cat litter, fish heads, and other food items on the roof of the black Acura RSX. The food washed off with no damage to the vehicle, said police.
