OBITUARY: Marie Vaccaro

Grew up in Hopewell

    Marie Vaccaro died Thursday at Compassionate Care Hospice, St Francis Medical Center, Trenton.
   Ms. Vaccaro was born in Trenton in 1940 and spent her childhood on a farm in Hopewell.
   She is a graduate of Barry University, Miami, Fla., where she earned a BA in elementary education. She taught for nine years in Florida before moving back to New Jersey, at which time she went back to work at Bristol Myers Squibb.
   Daughter of the late James and Mildred Vaccaro, and sister of her late brother Jim, she is survived by her brothers, Joe, David, and John Vaccaro; and her sisters, Millie Ann Clancey, Margaret Slugocki, and Jeanne Hassell; her sixteen nieces and nephews and eight great nieces and nephews.
   The Rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Sept. 10 at St Paul Roman Catholic Church, Princeton. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery in Hopewell. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kimble Funeral Home, Princeton.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 6th Floor Tower, St Francis Medical Center, 601 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08629, or to the American Cancer Society.
